Bookbinding Kit Instructions
Look at you getting crafty! Here are the instructions for your very own bookbinding kit.
1
Thread your needle. If you have two pieces of thread, you can thread the needle with both for a two-tone look. {Optional: You can tie a knot on the end so it doesn't pull through but leave a tail at least 2" long.}
2
With the cover and signature, sew from the inside of the signature through the middle hole and through the middle hole of the cover.
3
Return the needle through one of the holes on either end of the cover and signature.
4
Return the needle through the middle hole of the signature and cover again.
5
Return the needle through the cover and signature on the opposite hole you chose from step 3.
6
Time to tie off! Thread the needle under the long stitch next to the center hole. Tie the two tails together in a knot.
7
{Optional} Grab a glue stick, scissors and an old magazine and collage the outside cover to add your own personal touch! Or bust out some paint and work up a masterpiece of your own!
8
Get to doodling, writing, daydreaming, planning, listing! I know—blank pages are intimidating. You got this!
